Together, let’s choose
Minneapolis.

Minneapolis is my home, and I care deeply about it. I first became involved in politics as a healthcare reform and disability advocate. That path eventually led me to the Minnesota Legislature, where I was a leading advocate for the Minnesota Health Plan —a local, single payer system.

I’ve spent my career fighting for accessibility, social justice, and inclusive policies — the same reasons I’m proudly labor-endorsed. Now, I’m running for City Council because we need an effective, experienced progressive voice on the city council that’ll put people over politics.

I'm Shelley Madore, and I'm a proud DFLer running for Minneapolis City Council.

Two women engaged in conversation outside in a city environment, with one smiling and the other listening. Several people walk in the background near a modern building and umbrellas.
Three women are standing around a dark wooden table in a restaurant or bar, engaged in conversation. One woman is an older woman with curly hair, wearing a black blazer and gesturing with her hands. The other two women are younger, with long hair, one with straight hair wearing a white t-shirt and the other with curly hair wearing a blue t-shirt. A small vase with pink and white roses decorates the table. The background features a blue wall with a sign that reads 'LUEPR'

Let’s build a Minneapolis that works for you.

I envision a Minneapolis where everyone is empowered, valued, and able to contribute to our community. That means delivering for you on public safety, economic opportunity, and housing.

“Minneapolis deserves leadership that listens, acts, and delivers real results. I’m ready to fight for safer neighborhoods, affordable housing, thriving small businesses, and a city government that works for everyone.”
